Domestic Wet Central Heating System with regular boiler and separate hot water store.

Boiler

A regular boiler (not a combi) which has a SEDBUK efficiency of at least :

  • 78% if fuelled by natural gas (bands A to D)
  • 80% if fuelled by LPG (bands A to C, and some from band D)
  • 83% if fuelled by oil (bands A and B, and some from band C)

  • 82% if fuelled by natural gas (bands A to C)
  • 84% if fuelled by LPG (bands A and B, and some from band C)
  • 85% if fuelled by oil (bands A and B, and some from band C)

Boiler (see Notes 3 and 4) :

Hot water store EITHER

A hot water cylinder, whose heat exchanger and insulation properties both meet or exceed (see Note 5) those of the relevant British Standards.

OR

A thermal (primary) storage system, whose insulation properties meet or exceed those specified in Reference 4.

Hot water store

High performance hot water cylinder (see Note 6)

OR

High performance thermal primary storage system (see Note7)

Controls (see Notes 8, 9 and 10) :

  • Full programmer
  • Room thermostat
  • Cylinder thermostat
  • Boiler interlock (see Note 11)
  • TRVs on all radiators, except in rooms with a room thermostat
  • Automatic bypass valve (see Note 12)

Installation : see Notes 1 and 2

Controls (see Notes 8, 9 and 10)

  • Programmable room thermostat, with additional timing capability for hot water
  • Cylinder thermostat
  • Boiler interlock (see Note 11)
  • TRVs on all radiators, except in rooms with a room thermostat
  • Automatic bypass valve (see Note 12)
