Solving low or unequal water pressure problems

A common problem with showers is that they suddenly go hot or cold when water is used else ware in the home or building. By simply turning a tap on, or allowing a washing machine to start, will cause a drop in water pressure in the buildings water system and a sudden change in water temperature will occur.

Greens water pressure-equalizing valve, helps to eliminate the risk of scalding due sudden drops in water pressure. The valve automatically adjusts to balance higher water pressures to balance with the lower, no matter how often it fluctuates, the result is even water temperatures.

Many hotels often suffer from this problem where they have manual mixer showers installed and multiple-occupancy. Greens offer the low cost solution to this problem and applications include:
  • Shower mixers
  • Bath-shower mixers
  • Single lever mixers
  • Bidet mixers
  • Extra fine control of thermostatic mixers

The valve will equalize pressure on:

  • Multipoint - combi or fully modulating gas boilers.
  • Gravity systems
  • Mains pressure hot water cylinders or any hot water system which provides a constant temperature output.

Installation

The Valve can be installed vertically or horizontally and any distance before the mixer provided it supplies only ONE mixer and there is no additional draw-off between the Pressure Equalising Valve and mixer.

The Valve must be positioned where it is accessible, should cleaning or maintenance be necessary.

The water heating system must be able to deliver hot water at a constant temperature, regardless of demand from the system. The Valve must be used in conjunction with shower mixers which are designed to operate on equal pressure.
