Up until now, installers and specifiers have had two choices
when it came to unvented hot water cylinders. The first is the 'standard' system,
where an external expansion vessel needs to be connected by the installer. The
second uses an internal air bubble, which removes the need for the vessel, but
introduces the disadvantage of regular servicing to maintain the air bubble.
Now there is a third choice... the DPS Amazon unvented hot water cylinder is
supplied with an external expansion vessel fitted inside the unit casing, removing
the need for installers having to connect the vessel, while at the same time overcoming
the disadvantage of having to service a bubble. In other words, the best of both
worlds.
But there is more... hidden inside the casing you will also find the pressure
reducing valve, strainer, expansion relief valve, non-return valve, and temperature
and pressure relief valve, all factory fitted. The only items to be installed
separately are the twin probe cylinder thermostat and energy cutout valve, on
indirect units.
The advantages to the Amazon are numerous... quicker and easier
installation, a much tidier cupboard space, both safety reliefs combined into
a single 15mm relief, protection against transit damage to safety controls, protection
against installer error, and reduced overall costs.
We can also offer customers their choice of pre-fabricated primary system controls,
including Y-plan, S-plan, various pump sizes and types, and various programmer
room stat combinations. On electric units we can pre-fit the units with suitable
immersion heater controllers.
To top it off, the units come with 10 year guarantee against manufacturing
defect, and all components are guaranteed for 2 years
