United Kingdom Physical Water Conditioning Association - UKPWCA

With the growing desire to minimise the impact that businesses have on the environment, reinforced by ever-stronger legislation, there is a burgeoning resistance to the use of chemicals that will find their way into the environment. As a result of this we have seen a rapid increase in the use of physical water conditioning, by which I mean the non-chemical scale prevention systems throughout the world.

Nevertheless, there is still a great deal of misinformation about physical water conditioning throughout the water treatment industry. Indeed, it seems that the more successful these products become, proving their worth time and time again, the more vigorously this incorrect information is disseminated. Because of this, homeowners, building operators, specifiers and installers are not being given the opportunity to make an informed decision about physical water conditioning. Instead, they are left trying to work who's telling the truth and who is just trying to muddy the waters to further their own interests.

David Walker, chairman UKPWCA

I am firmly convinced that the UKPWCA has a strong future in helping you the customers, make your own decisions based purely on facts. To that end we will be happy to hear from any user of scale prevention who has questions about physical water conditioning. It is as a result of this confusion and the need to present a true and accurate picture that the UK's leading physical water conditioning companies have banded together to form the:- United Kingdom Physical Water Conditioning Association (UKPWCA).

United Kingdom Physical Water Conditioning Association (UKPWCA).

The principal role of the UKPWCA is to set the record straight by giving our customers the facts. Facts based on our combined years of practical experience, rather than vested interests and mischievous intent.

The founding members of the UKPWCA comprise of manufactures and distributors of electronic, magnetic and electromagnetic non-chemical scale prevention systems. All are agreed that these products will prevent and remove scale but do not support the view that they produce soft, softer or softened water.
